Begin your safari with a game drive through Tarangire, a park famous for its giant elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and rich wildlife. Explore its open savannah, riverine woodland and seasonal swamps while looking out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes and a variety of birdlife.

Later, continue to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Follow the Tarangire River, a vital water source that attracts a remarkable variety of wildlife throughout the year, especially during the dry season. The park offers excellent opportunities to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes and predators, as well as diverse birdlife.

In the late afternoon, leave Tarangire and travel to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch on the crater floor.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the crater is a remarkable natural amphitheatre with one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife. Look out for lions, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and, with luck, the endangered black rhino.

In the late afternoon, ascend from the crater and transfer by road to Arusha Airport for your onward flight.
