Tour Overview
This three-day safari offers an exceptional opportunity to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration’s calving season in the Ndutu region. From December to March, vast herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles gather on the rich grasslands of the southern Serengeti and Ndutu plains.
It is a remarkable time for wildlife viewing, as thousands of calves are born and predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas follow the herds. Travel in a private 4x4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof, accompanied by a professional driver-guide, and stay in a comfortable tented camp in the heart of the action.

Day 1: Arusha to Ndutu
Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a short briefing, depart in your 4x4 safari vehicle and travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley, passing Maasai villages and the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands.
Stop for a picnic lunch en route before continuing into the southern Serengeti and Ndutu region, the heart of the calving season. The open plains support large herds of wildebeest and zebras, with excellent opportunities to observe newborn calves and predators in their natural environment.
Arrive at camp in the afternoon, settle in and enjoy dinner surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater, then return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive through one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife areas.
The crater floor supports an exceptional concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, surrounded by the crater’s spectacular scenery.
In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and continue to Arusha, where your safari concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or preferred location.
