This private three-day safari explores three of Northern Tanzania’s most rewarding wildlife destinations: Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park.
Enjoy excellent opportunities to see the Big Five and many other animals while travelling through Tanzania’s diverse landscapes. Stay in comfortable mid-range accommodation and travel in a private 4x4 safari vehicle, accompanied by a professional English-speaking driver-guide. Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your safari driver-guide will collect you from your hotel or lodge in Arusha and depart for Tarangire National Park with packed lunch boxes.
Enjoy a full-day game drive through this scenic park, known for its large elephant herds, towering baobab trees and diverse landscapes of open savannah, seasonal swamps and riverine woodland. The Tarangire River attracts a wide range of wildlife, particularly during the dry season.
Look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes and antelopes. With luck, you may also spot lions stalking prey or leopards resting in the trees.
After the game drive, continue to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart with packed lunch boxes for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s great natural wonders, Ngorongoro is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Its floor supports around 30,000 large mammals, including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. It is also home to a rich variety of birdlife, including flamingos, eagles and buzzards.
After your game drive, return to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park, then return to Arusha
After breakfast, depart with packed lunch boxes for Lake Manyara National Park.
Enjoy a game drive through this beautiful and diverse park, which combines lush groundwater forest, open grassland and the lakeshore. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions and large troops of baboons, which are often seen from the moment you enter the park.
You may also see elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos and abundant birdlife. After your game drive, transfer to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey.
